Oh
It’s hard isn’t it
As I spend more time being at home with my dogs,I see then not being happy as we pretend they are. They are bored and sad. For the whole day both of them spend time being under the bed, not even want to get out until we get home. They are scared of the noises, not that they like to be there, with us at home, they play with each other, they run around, staying where we are, and sleep on the bed, or next to the bed, not under. We bought another dog to have them accompanied, and instead, we have two depressed dogs and we can’t bullshit ourselves anymore.
Everyday we take them out two or three times, for under an hour, we see them sticking their tongues out and we tell ourselves they are happy, maybe they are at that moment, but a hunting dog and a fetch dog with an hour being outside everyday and we call that happiness? We tried taking them to the daycare, we saw the results, we give them all kinds of treats and we get depressed overweight dogs.
We say it’s because we have to work to feed them, do we? Do we not have enough money to feed all of us? Or because we just want to be better than other humans? Or because we want the challenge of the world? Or maybe other reasons, none of those they understand and feel happy about. We are all they have and being together, presenting ourselves are all they want. And being in the nature, running around and be helpful are all make them happy (and eating, and not having to take shower)
And even the simplest things of being a dog as barking to protect the gang, to warn and to express emotions are not allowed. Going around and eat what they find are not allowed, because of all the toxins that may kill them, free roaming are not allowed because people may kidnap them.
It’s hard isn’t it?
Because we have to live in a city of all kinds of dangers to dogs, and we have to go away for work, and we have to have 2 working dogs that have to sleep all day

When you criticise me for teaching sellers to identify values of their craft so you can get them with cheaper price and resell them later for 4 times. Talking about eliminating the middle men…
No matter how lucky someone is on the way becoming the privileged; they think people disagreeing with them as either stupid or biased. Oh oh

At times people put all their love into a basket, and that breaks.
When looking back, you were not there for others, you just want that satisfying feeling of all in one basket. Then don’t ask why you are lonely.
The sound and the visual contrast of generations in Dalat is a main theme in this city. There was a small town of Da Lat from generations before when life goes slow and easy. And the last 5-10 years has been of Sữa Đậu Nành, check-in points and getaway homestays serving the flood of young travelers from Saigon and Hanoi.
In the time of pandemic, there’s a confusion of identity happening in this town where the old slow lifestyle suddenly emerge back, previously blurred by the noises of laughters, the clicks of cameras and phones and nice layered coats. For the first time Cafe Tùng was not busy so I can see the lady owner outside daydreaming, we nodded to say “hi” for the first time. For the first time the yellow wall looks so irelevant, not one of the most famous place in town.
For a month, Da Lat has become again the close community when people are not so busy serving travelers; naturally, out spending time with each others, knowing all of us here are ones who grow up and grow old (for the moment being) by the soil and air of Da Lat.
When this is over, business is alive again, there will be money to be made again, all will be serving and entertaining others, of course the city is more alive with the rain of money notes, but for now, in a gloomy vibe of slow business, the city is unpolluted.
One kind of virus to slow down the other I guess.
